The historic international station of Canfranc, inaugurated in 1928, in the Huesca Pyrenees, has recovered its past splendor, converted into the luxurious 5-star Hotel Canfranc Estación, a Royal Hideaway Hotel. For this purpose, the building, declared of Cultural Interest in 2002, has been completely refurbished and has been declared a historic railway cultural heritage site.
The design of the hotel has been in charge of Ilmiodesign (@ilmiodesign), a studio specialized in interior design, which has been inspired by the elegance of the old stations and the luxurious long-distance trains of the early twentieth century, recreating the essence of its unique carriages, giving it a contemporary touch along with its characteristic style.
The hotel will have 2 floors to house the 104 rooms of the complex, while the first floor will be used for the wellness area, including a heated swimming pool. Natucer has supplied the material to cover the columns of the heated pool area and its showers, choosing the VALENTINO D'AUTORE 5 "x5" collection, an extruded porcelain tile with a soft 3D volume, craquelé effect and glossy finish, perfectly matching the 20th century setting.
